Issue:
I have completed a course, but it is not marked as complete.
Cause:
There are some scenarios where a course does not show as complete in Degreed:
- Courses completed in external Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as SuccessFactors, CornerStone on Demand, Pluralsight, and others, may take up to 72 hours to reflect as completed in Degreed's collection. This is due to the LMS process of sending the completion to Degreed via their integration
- Courses completed on external provider websites may not exist in Degreed's catalog. The internet is a vast learning environment, and Degreed is a collaborative system where you may add this information
- For organizations with the 'Anonymize Private Users' setting enabled, users with Private profile visibility will not receive completions from any organization or third-party provider using API or xAPI. This includes course providers such as LinkedIn Learning and Ted@Work. For more information, visit the article Anonymous Users
Resolution:
Depending on the scenario, you may:
- Allow 24 to 72 hours for LMS courses to be marked as complete.
- Admins need to be aware of how the completions are sent by the provider.
If the provider is responsible for sending completions via FTP file, confirm with the provider that they have sent the completions, the file's name, and that the completion in question is included in the file.
If the provider is responsible for sending completions via API, confirm with the provider the API is displaying the completion information. - Ensure that the course is available on Degreed. You can search for it and select the Mark Complete button when available.
If you cannot find the course in Degreed, Add it to the Global Catalog, and it will be included as completed in your Degreed Collection. - Check if your profile visibility is Private. You may ask your organization's administrator if they anonymize users, and if so, consider Changing your Profile Visibility.
Additional Note:
If it has been more than 72 hours since you've completed the item, you may Report a Problem with the item from within Degreed. Ensure to attach an image of the certificate of completion.
You can read more on how completions work in the article Content, Pathway, and Plan Completions.
