The Skills Page
The Skills page contains all of your skills and their Skill Ratings. You can view this page in Grid view or List view.
To Access your Skills Page
- From the top of any page in Degreed, click Profile.
Your profile opens and the Overview tab displays by default. - Click the Skills tab.

- On the Home page, from the navigation panel, click Manage Skills.

Grid View
The Grid View shows your skills on their Skill cards, organized by Focus Skills and Additional Skills.
- Skill filter: Search for specific skills in your profile.
- Rating Type filter: Filter the skills in the grid by their Skill Rating type.
- Grid | List view: Change the way in which you view your skills data.
- Add Skill: Click to add a new Skill to your profile.
- Focus Skills: Focus Skills are the skills within Degreed that you want to actively develop or improve. When you select Focus Skills on your Profile page, content recommendations specific to those skills display on your Home page. You can designate up to four Focus Skills on your profile.
- Rating type: If the skill has a rating, the type of rating displays.
- Add Rating: Click Add Rating on a skill card to add a new Skill Rating. When your Skill Rating changes, you can update the Skill Rating on any Skill card.
- Multiple ratings: If a skill has more than one rating, a +# indicator displays under the listed rating.
- Pending or In Progress rating : Indicates that a skill has a pending rating request to a manager or peer, or that a Skill Review has been started but not yet completed.
- Additional Skills: Skills you've added to your profile, but not designated as one of your four Focus Skills. These selections generate skill-based content recommendations on your Home page.
List View
- Skill filter: Search for specific skills in your profile.
- Rating Type filter: Filter the skills in the grid by their Skill Rating type.
- Column selector: Click the Columns icon and select the columns in the table that you want to show or hide. The maximum number of columns you can display is defined by your screen width.If the width of your screen is less than 1366 pixels, you are limited to six columns. After you complete your Column settings, the settings are saved and will display as you set them each time you visit the Skills page.
- Grid | List view: Change the way in which you view your skills data.
- Add Skill: Click to add a new Skill to your profile.
- Focus column: Focus Skills are the skills within Degreed that you want to actively develop or improve. When you select Focus Skills on your Profile page, content recommendations specific to those skills display on your Home page. You can designate up to four Focus Skills on your profile. Click directly on the focus skill indicator to quickly add or remove a focus skill. If you already have four focus skills and you click to add an additional skill, the Replace Focus Skill dialog displays where you can select which focus skill(s) to replace. Additionally, you can sort the list by clicking the sort icon at the top of the Focus column.
- Skill column: The name of each skill in your profile. You can sort this alphabetically A-Z or Z-A.
- Rating columns: Sort the skills by their rating number for the specific column's Rating Type (Self Rating, Peer Rating, Manager Rating, Skill Review, or Skill Targets).
- Total Ratings column: Sort your skills by the total number of all Skill Rating types, in ascending or descending order.
- Skill Signals column: Sort your skills by the total number of Skill Signals, which are indicators of all of the Degreed-recorded activity related to a specific skill.

(Expand): Click the Expand button to view the following details:
- Description: The description of the skill, if available.

Source: The skill’s source.
- Your organization name: The skill was added to your profile based on a Skill Standard or Job Role.
- Experience: The skill was added when your resume was parsed.
- Self: You personally added the skill to your profile.
- Org Skill: Indicates whether this is a skill in your organization’s taxonomy.
- Type: This field only applies to organizations with Skill Standards enabled. If the skill is required by a Skill Standard, “Critical” displays.
- Endorsed: Indicates whether a learning professional in your organization has reviewed and validated the skill.
- Total Ratings: The total number of all Skill Rating types.
- Skill Signals: The number of Skill Signals for this skill based on your Degreed-recorded activity related to this skill.
- Actions menu (): Use this menu to share a skill, add a Focus Skill to your profile, remove a Focus Skill from your profile, find content related to the skill, remove the skill from your profile, and add the skill to a Plan.
