Skills Overview
What are Skills?
Skills encompass the knowledge, competencies, and abilities to perform an action, such as an operational task, with specific results, within a given amount of time, energy, or both.
How are They Useful?
At Degreed, we believe keeping skills current is the biggest talent challenge of our time. Increases in remote working, advances in technology, and the ongoing push toward more automation make upskilling and reskilling increasingly critical. Degreed gives you the ability to align your skills with your career aspirations.
When you select and rate your skills, Degreed recommends personalized, relevant content for your continued skill development. With Degreed, you can find skill-specific content, rate yourself, ask your manager or peers for a rating, and determine what you need to be successful in the role you hold today, while preparing for the role you'll hold tomorrow.
Degreed Skill Types
