Summary
On August 27, 2025, some clients experienced issues with Single Sign-On (SSO) when attempting to log into Degreed.
Cause
A network configuration change made during video/article download troubleshooting inadvertently disrupted SSO authentication platform-wide. Although the change was immediately rolled back upon detection, service restoration was delayed due to propagation time to edge nodes.
Solution
The network change was reverted, and once propagation completed across all edge nodes, SSO functionality was fully restored. Normal login behavior has since been verified.
Preventative Action
To prevent recurrence, the DevOps team will announce all production network changes in advance and schedule them during planned maintenance windows.
