Maintain Your Profile After Leaving an Organization
Transitioning between positions is always hard, but we try to make transitioning your Degreed account as easy as possible. If some of the items you completed were proprietary content from your organization, that content no longer appears on your profile, but you keep the points you've earned. You can also still see all the other content you’ve added, including items from the external catalog, experience, and degrees.
Maintain Access to and Keep Building Your Lifelong Transcript
Even if you left your organization and lost access to Degreed a while ago, we will gladly welcome you back and restore access to your lifelong transcript at any point.
To maintain access to and continue building your lifelong transcript with Degreed, we recommend the following:
-
Add a personal email address. Before you leave your organization, add a personal email address to your profile. If you already left and didn’t do this, you can still keep your data, but Degreed Support may need a little more time. Contact customer support and include your name, your organizational email address, and your personal email address in your message.
If there is no personal email address on the account, the profile is deleted 90 days after separation from the organization. Once deleted, the user account cannot be recovered. - Set a New Password. When you leave an organization, you should change your password. If your organization used Single Sign-On (SSO) to access Degreed, you must set a new password.
- Update Your Experience. If you already have a next job ahead of you, add it to your Degreed profile! You should also make any final changes to your last job. Future changes may affect point count.
- Explore Your Personal Account. Some features are only available to organizational users, but other features are often restricted in organizations. Some things you’re used to may no longer appear, but you also might see some new features!
Because you have a different set of features than you did while you were with your organization, we recommend that you spend ten or fifteen minutes exploring when you first leave your organization, like you did when you were new to Degreed.
