Organizations can prompt learners to rate their assigned skills through a banner displayed on the following:
- Home > Overview
- Profile > Skills
When your organization assigns prioritized skills related to your role or critical skills from Skill Standards, Degreed will activate the Start Skill Rating button on the Home Page and the Profile Page. The button displays only when your organization assigns new skills that have not yet been rated yet.
Rate Your Skills
- Go to your Profile or Home Page, and click Start Skill Rating.
- On the Skill Ratings Page, select a skill from the list.
- Choose your appropriate proficiency level for that skill.

- Progress Tracker: Displays the total number of skills you’ve rated out of your assigned skills. The circular progress chart visually represents your completion status and updates automatically as you rate each skill.
- Skills: Lists the skills assigned by your organization. This section may include prioritized skills coming from role and critical skills from skill standards. The context displays the role name or skill standard name.
- Skill Name: Shows all org-assigned skills along with their current rating levels. Each skill can be expanded to view additional details such as a description.
- Rating Status: Indicates the current status of each skill, whether Unrated or assigned a Level. Use the dropdown menu next to each skill to view or update your self-assessed level.
- Unrated Skills: Highlights skills that have not yet been rated. Use the dropdown to select the proficiency level that best reflects your current skill level.
- Rating Levels: Displays detailed descriptions for each level (for example, Level 1–5), outlining what proficiency looks like at each stage. Select the level that most accurately represents your current capability for the skill.
