Summary
On July 21, 2025, at 13:33 UTC, we identified a partial service degradation impacting the Degreed US database. Users may have experienced slow performance or errors when accessing certain areas of the platform.
Found Cause
There was a long running process within the database.
Resolution
Key database resources within our Azure SQL services were restarted. Once that was done, all database activity returned to normal and the system was fully recovered at 19:10 UTC.
Preventative action
We have a open ticket with Microsoft to better understand what happened and how we can prevent it in the future. We will share more details here once we have them.
