What are Groups?
Degreed Groups are a tool which supports social learning by enabling cohorts of learners with a common learning goal to share and comment on content.
Why are They Useful?
Groups allow a specific audience with a common learning interest (such as sales, design, accounting, engineering, or new hires) to engage with one another and access learning content targeted specifically for members of that group. Groups encourage collaboration, which can lead to the development of new and innovative solutions to problems.

Group FAQs
Why am I receiving email notifications with requests to approve access to a Group and how do I turn them off?
If you are the creator or administrator of a closed Group, users that want to join the Group must request access. When a user or a group of users requests access to this group, you will receive an email asking you to approve or decline the access request. To stop the notifications, click the Manage Group button in the notification email and approve or decline the requests in the Members tab of the Group.
What determines whether a user's completion of content will display on a Group feed?
In order for a content completion to display on a Group feed, the following must be true:
- The content includes a skill tag which is also tagged to the Group,
- The title and the description of the content includes any words which match a skill tag of the Group, and
- The user completing the content is a member of the Group.
For example, if a Group is tagged with the skill "Python", any completions of content items that are tagged with "Python" will display. Any completions of content items that have "Python" in their name or in their description will also display.
If someone joins a Group after an assignment is made, will that assignment show up on the Assignments page for the new Group member?
No, new members will only receive assignments from the Group from that point in time forward.
How do I remove a member of a Group that is no longer an employee in my organization?
You must be an admin of the Group in order to delete a Group member. If you are a group admin, make sure the Remove Members permission is enabled in the Settings tab of the Group.
From the Members tab of the Group, click the Actions menu () next to the member's name and click Remove From Group.
