Save Report Presets
When you create a new report, you have the option to save the report configuration as a preset. This allows you to generate the report again in the future without the need to recreate the configuration.
Permissions may be required to access some pages in Degreed or perform specific tasks. For more information, see Permissions in Degreed.
Required Permission: Manage In-app Reporting and a Degreed role of Technical Admin.
Presets are unique to each user and only you can see your Presets.
To Save a Preset
- Follow the steps in Create a New Report.
- When you generate the report, check to select Save this report configuration as a preset.
The report preset saves to the Presets page.
To Access and Generate Presets
- In the top right corner of Degreed, click .
- Select Manage <your organization>.
Degreed Admin opens and the Insights page displays by default. - Click the Reporting tab.
- Click the Presets tab.
The Presets page includes the following columns:
- Report Title: The title you entered when you created the report.
- Report Type: The report type such as Assignment (Detailed by User), or Completions (Summary by User).
- Time Period: The dates or time period you selected when you created the report.
- Last Run (UTC): The last date you generated this report.
- : The Actions menu contains options to preview the report and delete the preset.
With the Presets page you can:
- Search for a report by entering all or part of the report title.
- Sort the rows by clicking the sort arrows in the column headers, if available.
- Preview the report by clicking > Preview Report.
- Delete the Preset by clicking > Delete.
To Generate a Report from a Preset
- On the Presets page, locate the report you want to generate.
- Next to the report, click > Preview Report.
The Report Preview page opens. - Optionally, you can change the report configurations.
- Click Generate Full Report.
You are prompted to enter a title for the report.If you save this report configuration as a preset and you do not change the title, a preset with a duplicate name is created. For best practices, if you changed the configurations, change the report title. If you did not change the configuration and want to generate the same report in the future, do not select Save this report configuration as a preset. - Click Generate.
A message displays confirming the report is generating. - Click Open Downloads to access the report from the Downloads page.
- Optionally, click Dismiss to close the message.
To Delete a Preset
- On the Presets page, locate the preset you want to delete.
- Next to the report preset, click > Delete.
- In the confirmation message that displays, click Yes to confirm the deletion.
Important: This action cannot be undone.
