Summary:
We recently identified an issue with Required Learning: Completed content may still appear as "Assigned" or "Required" on the learner's homepage, even after the user has finished it. The issue persists despite due dates being included in all RL CSV files.
Steps taken:
We have identified and resolved most of the underlying issues with the data collectors. However, recent optimization efforts have introduced some new issues, which we are actively working to address.
Workaround:
As an alternative to the Degreed home page, the user can visit their Degreed collection page to verify the completion.
Next Steps:
The issue is taking us longer than expected to resolve. However, on 13/11, we made some performance improvements that show positive signs. We are continuing to review the open issues, and we'll keep this page updated.
Root Cause:
The issue appears connected to SQL transient errors during collector processes, specifically impacting rows in the database that don't transition to "complete" status. More details will follow.
Plans for Improvement & Prevention:
Further backend optimizations are in progress to improve record processing and prevent recurrence, ensuring RLs accurately reflect completed courses. The Development and Integrations teams are prioritizing testing and deployment to expedite resolution. More details will follow.
