The Degreed Onboarding Experience is available in the Degreed Mobile App to provide learners with the opportunity to set up their profile information and improve their Degreed experience.
Onboarding is available only if it has been enabled by your organization.
When Can You Initiate Mobile App Onboarding?
The Mobile Onboarding experience is initiated when:
- A new user logs into the Degreed app for the first time on a mobile device.
- An existing user resets Onboarding and then accesses Degreed from a mobile device
- An existing user logs into the Degreed mobile app without adding any skills to their profile.
The Mobile Onboarding is a simplified version of the Web Onboarding experience. It does not include the following features:
- Resume Parsing
- Skill Self Ratings
- Focus Skill Selection
You can still add Skill Self Ratings and Focus Skills later through the mobile app, after completing Onboarding.
Resume parsing is a web-only feature in Degreed. It is not available on the mobile app.
To Complete the Degreed Mobile App Onboarding

Begin your journey with a quick introduction to the Mobile Onboarding Experience. Tap Continue to get started. -
Select Your Current Job Role
Select your job role from the provided list. - Or use the Search option to find the role that best matches your position.

Relevant Skills
Based on your selected role, a set of default skills are pre-selected.
- Tap Add Skill if you want to include additional skills that aren’t listed.
- Deselect any skills that aren't relevant.
- When you’re satisfied with your selections, tap Confirm to save your skills and finish Onboarding.
At least one skill must be selected to complete Onboarding.
After completing the Onboarding process, your personalized feed appears on the Home Screen, and you're ready to begin your learning journey with tailored recommendations and content!
