Use Manager Reporting to provide managers with access to In-app Reports.
Manager Reporting combines the power of Segments with Automations to seamlessly enable your managers to access and run In-app Reports that only includes data for users who are their direct reports.
To provide access to the In-app reports, you assign users to managers in the User File by adding the manager's ID to the ManagerUniqueID field for each user. Then, once the feature is enabled the system will automatically:
- Create a Segment for the manager and add the manager's direct reports to the Segment. The naming convention for Segments will be Manager Segment - [manager name].
- Grant Segment level reporting permission to the manager and make the Reporting menu available. Manager's will not be able to schedule reports.
- Ensure all reports available to the manager only include data for the manager's direct reports.
Managers can use the data to evaluate the learning activities of their direct reports. For example, managers can gain insight into their users' career goals or interests, or determine if their direct reports are completing assigned content.
