Use Dynamic Admin Groups in In-app Reporting

Admins with the Manage In-app Reporting permission can assign permissions for users to run reports based on specific dynamic admin groups. These users can then run reports to view data for only the users within the assigned groups.

Permissions may be required to access some pages in Degreed or perform specific tasks. For more information, see Permissions in Degreed.

Required Permission: Manage In-app Reporting and a Degreed role of Technical Admin to assign a Segment permission to a user.

Users without the Manage In-app Reporting permission must have permission for one or more Segments listed on the Reporting > Dynamic Admin Groups page.

Assign User Permissions for a Dynamic Admin Group

If you have the Manage In-app Reporting permission, you can assign users within your organization permission to run reports for specific groups.

1. From the side navigation menu in Degreed Admin, select Reporting > Dynamic Admin Groups.
2. Locate the group for which you want to assign permissions.
3. Click the More Actions menu and select Edit Report Permissions.
4. In the Edit Report Permissions for [group] dialog, use the Search field to initiate a search for specific users.
5. From the list of Suggested users, click the name of the desired user.
   The user is added to the Approved users list.
6. Continue searching for and selecting users, if desired.
7. Click Save Changes.
   The users are added to the Report Permissions column for the selected group, and can now run reports for that group.

Run a Report for a Dynamic Admin Group

If you have permission to create reports based on a dynamic admin group, you can run a report for any of the supported In-app Reports. To run the report, you must select a group from the Dynamic Admin Groups filter. Only the groups for which you have permission are available in the filter.

Users who do not have the Manage In-app Reports permission can generate and download reports, but cannot schedule reports.

1. From the side navigation menu in Degreed Admin, select Reporting > Categories.
2. Follow the steps outlined in Create a New In-app Report.
3. Before you run the report, click the Dynamic Admin Groups filter drop down and select one or more groups.

The report results will only include data for the users added to the groups you selected.
