Degreed's Mission and Philosophy

Technology has changed the way people learn, which calls for a new approach to corporate learning. The Degreed mission is to make it easy for both employees and employers to discover, share, and value all learning from everywhere. We don’t only look at the formal learning that employees do once a quarter or less, but the everyday learning people do to grow and progress continually. 

To accomplish this mission, Degreed empowers and enables the learner, and provides a personalized learning experience for every user. Traditional corporate learning solutions focus primarily on mandatory and required learning. Degreed differs by offering a balance of organizational and employee-driven learning priorities. Our research shows that employees prefer to direct their own learning, and that employees find self-directed learning to be more effective in growing their careers.
