Does Degreed Filter or Moderate Content?
Using enterprise-grade cognitive services, Degreed identifies and removes public content items that may be offensive and inappropriate for the workplace.
What Content is Filtered or Moderated?
- Each public content item in every Degreed public content provider
- Content within the External Catalog
What Content is Not Filtered or Moderated?
- Content within your Internal Catalog (added by you or your Degreed Admins)
- External content that a user adds to their Profile
- External content that a user shares with other users in your organization
- Text entered by any user within your organization (for example, when a user types in a new Skill name during onboarding)
When is a Content Item Removed from Degreed?
Public content items are automatically filtered and flagged appropriately based on moderation factors. The filter reviews each content item to determine if it contains:
- offensive terms,
- sexually explicit or suggestive content,
- profanity, and
- personal data.
Additionally, there is a level of text-based filtering to remove any URLs from content titles and descriptions, to ensure that no potentially malicious URLs display on content in Degreed.
This moderation and filtering applies to all Degreed-supported languages.
