In-app Reporting by Segment Overview

In-app Segment Reporting allows you to run reports and view results only for users within your designated Segments.

Permissions may be required to access some pages in Degreed or perform specific tasks. For more information, see Permissions in Degreed.

• Required Permission: Manage In-app Reporting and a Degreed role of Technical Admin.
• Optional Permission: Manage Segments to create and manage Segments.

Segment reporting allows users access to most of the In-app Reporting features, but limits the data they can view to only those users included in their designated Segments.

The Segments tab available on the Reporting page includes a list of all your organization's existing Segments. Admins with access to In-app Reporting can assign Report Permissions for individual Segments to any user within their organization. This automatically grants In-app Reporting permission to those users, and makes the Reporting tab available.

Users can have permission to report on more than one Segment, and more than one user can have permissions for each Segment.

When a user with Segment permissions selects a report to run, they must select a Segment from the filter. Only the Segments for which they have permission are included in the filter. The report results will only include data for users within the selected Segment. Additionally, they can generate and download reports, but they cannot schedule reports.

Granting a user permission to report on Segments is done via the Segments tab on an individual user basis, and is not associated with any Reporting permission on the Settings > Permissions page. 

Unsupported Reports

The following reports are summary level reports and do not include data for specific users. Currently, these reports are not supported for reporting by Segment.

• Plan (Summary by Plan)
• Assignments (Summary by Assignment)
• Skill (Summary by Skill)
• Opportunities View Data (Summary)
• Published Opportunities (Summary)
• Skill Coach (Overall Summary)

Additionally, the Academies and Content Marketplace In-app reports are not currently supported. 

To Access Segments for In-app Reporting

1. Navigate to Degreed Admin and select the Reporting menu.
2. Click the Segments tab.
