This article applies to clients with an Academies and Content Marketplace (ACM) license prior to the October 2024 Major Product Release. If you are unsure if this applies to your organization, please contact your CX Representative.
User permissions and visibility can be updated with the User File.
Academies and Content Marketplace Visibility
Academies and Content Marketplace visibility for a user is determined by the DevelopPermissionRole column in the User File. Accepted values and definitions for this column are as follows:
- DevelopUser: Grants user visibility into Academies and Content Marketplace.
- AcademiesUser: Grants user visibility into Academies and hides Content Marketplace.
- MarketplaceUser: Grants user visibility into ContentMarketplace and hides Academies
- Admin: Grants access to everything.
If Academies is made visible to users, and Content Marketplace is hidden:
- Users can:
- See Your Plan

See Custom Programs

See Academies
- See and request approval for Marketplace programs within an Academy
- Users cannot:
- See Content Marketplace
- See any Learning Incentive (for example, Virtual Cards or Reimbursements)
If Content Marketplace is made visible to users, and Academies is hidden:
- Users can:
- See Your Plan

- See and request approval for Marketplace programs

- Users cannot:
- See Custom Programs
- See Academies
If both Academies and Content Marketplace are made visible to users:
- Users can:

- See and request approval for Marketplace programs
- See any Learning Incentive (i.e. Virtual Cards, Reimbursements)
- See Custom Programs
- See Academies
In addition to the permissions listed above, certain features (for example, Marketplace) can also be turned on or off at the company level by request.
