Events are opportunities to meet peers, make connections, and receive live feedback. Just as a university-level degree path might ask students to attend scheduled events like meet and greets, study groups, and more, your company's program and Academy events are scheduled meetings that users and mentors can attend.
To Attend Events
- Access your company's program or Academy.
Events are listed within the sections of the Academy or program. - Click Yes to indicate you are attending the event.
- Click Join Event to attend.
Calendar Options for Events
Add to Calendar
You can add events to your calendar from an email or from within the platform.
To Add Events From an Email
You may be invited to attend live events as part of your company's programs and Academies. Depending on your email preferences, 24 hours prior to an event, you will receive an email notification reminding you of the upcoming event. Only Google and Outlook Calendar users currently have the ability to add events to their calendars. From the email notification, click Add to Google Calendar or Add to Outlook Calendar to add the event to your calendar.
Changes made to an event will not be reflected automatically in calendar events. A join link will appear in your calendar invite under the "location" section, and you will be listed as the only invitee. (Users cannot see who else has been invited to the event through the calendar invite). Outlook users can integrate their calendar to see changes reflected in real time. There is currently no calendar integration available for Gmail users.
To Add Events from an Academy
You may be invited to attend live events as part of an Academy. You can add these events to your Outlook or Google calendar from inside the platform.
- Access your Academy.
Events are listed within the sections of the Academy. - Click Add to Calendar to expand a dropdown menu.
- Select either Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar.
Changes made to an Academy event will not be reflected automatically in calendar events. A join link will appear in your calendar invite under the "location" section, and you will be listed as the only invitee. (Users cannot see who else has been invited to the event through the calendar invite). Outlook users can integrate their calendar to see changes reflected in real time. Connect Outlook Calendar
If you use Outlook, you can integrate your calendar with your company's programs and academies.
To Integrate Your Calendar from Your Company's Programs
- Click Connect Calendar at the top of your company's program to allow the platform access to your calendar.
- Click Connect Outlook Calendar in the pop-up window.
- Sign in with your Microsoft credentials.
The platform now has access to your calendar. - Click Add to Calendar at the top of your company's program to add all of the program's events to your calendar.
To Integrate Your Calendar from Academies
- Click Connect Calendar at the top of your company's program to allow the platform access to your calendar.
- Click Connect Outlook Calendar in the pop-up window.
- Sign in with your Microsoft credentials.
The platform now has access to your calendar. - Click Add to Calendar from the top of each Academy section to add all events in that section to your calendar.
To Integrate Your Calendar from Settings
- From the bottom left corner of the platform, click your profile name.
Your user menu displays. - Click Settings.
Your Settings page displays. - Scroll to the bottom of the settings page to the Integrations section.
- Click Connect beside the Outlook Calendar integration to give the platform access to your calendar.
- Sign in with your Microsoft credentials.
The platform now has access to your calendar. - Click Add to Calendar at the top of your company's programs to add all events in the program.
- Click Add to Calendar at the top of each Academy section to add all events in that section.
